Hey all!
My name is Lee, I’m the IT guy here at Ads4Dough.
About six months ago, I moved from cold-dark-Michigan to where I am now, at Smaxor’s Coastal Affiliate Paradise in north county San Diego, CA. Usually, I call myself a programmer, but I wear a lot of hats around here. I’m big on statistics, graphs and properly formatted data.
And I really like split testing! Split testing, over other testing methods, has the biggest potential for quickly increasing your conversions with a less-than-perfect campaign (whereas multi-variant testing, used correctly, is more likely to help put the finishing touches on an already-great lander). Smax and I were just looking at this article on your right vs. left ears, and I asked the obvious question: Can we monetize this?
According to the article, a plea or request heard by the right ear — thus being processed by the left, logical side of the brain — is more likely to get a positive response. It’s not hard to imagine that same effect could have a significant influence on a potential customer’s final decision. The real question is, will it convert?
We haven’t tried it, and we don’t know if it works. But if you’ve got a flog, and you want those extra sales, keep experimenting! Maybe a version of the page with no left-channel audio will boost your conversions, and maybe it won’t, but there’s only one way to find out.

Success!
